On Sunday, the crane which was being used at Midas Homes' South Gate development in Totnes, was removed from site - transported by a 200 tonne mobile crane.

Clive Scourfield, Midas Homes' Project Manager at South Gate said: "It all went smoothly - it was quite amazing to see the dismantled crane transported through the air. We'd like to thank everyone for their cooperation and apologise for any inconvenience caused while the road was closed for the short time it took us to take away the crane."

The development is set in four separate areas namely: Lamb North, Lamb South, Heathway East and Heathway West, and there are currently a range of one, two, three and four bedroom homes available.

South Hams District Council selected Midas Homes as its development partner for the redevelopment of Totnes Southern Area - a scheme that will create high quality new homes for the Totnes community.
