Retired couple find dream home at Broome Park

Bill and Chan Misir are both in their mid 60s and decided to relocate from a large detached house in Okehampton to a mid-terrace, Norbury style house at Broome Park.
“We wanted to down size but we were worried that a smaller house might not live up to our expectations,” said Bill. “However, we are absolutely delighted with our new home. It’s a former show house and is finished to a very high specification and the garden is nicely landscaped.
“We had to sell a very big property before we could relocate and the Barratt staff gave us very good advice, ensuring that the move went as smoothly as possible.”
A three-storey townhouse, the Norbury offers spacious accommodation. This includes a cloakroom, lounge/dining room and fully fitted kitchen/breakfasting area on the ground floor; two double bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor, and a double bedroom with walk in wardrobe/en-suite shower room on the second floor. There is also a garage.
“We love the design of the Norbury as it isn’t cramped at all and the two extra bedrooms are ideal for when our sons come to visit,” Bill continued.
“We’ve moved four times in the last eight years but, after two months at Broome Park, I think we’ll be settling here for good.
“Okehampton is a nice town and the people are very friendly,” he added. “Exeter is only a 25-minute drive away and we’re near to the coast, which is lovely in the summer.”
A small selection of three and four-bedroom houses are still for sale at Broome Park, and prices range from £205,000 to £289,500. Part exchange is available to people who are moving up to a larger home.
Broome Park is well located on the outskirts of the historic market town of Okehampton, close to the A30 and within easy reach of both Dartmoor National Park and the thriving city of Exeter.
