Seeing double at Meadow View

The doors to the “king size” cabin will open for the first time this Saturday (28 April) and if early indications are anything to go by, sales staff are in for a busy weekend. Over 60 house hunters hurried to the launch of Meadow View when house prices were released earlier this year – and the first sale was agreed within days of the development launch.
Donald Harrison Homes and the Catesby Property Group, the people behind Meadow View, say it’s the setting of the homes that has struck a chord with buyers.
Unlike most new build schemes, this site is surrounded by green fields. There aren’t any other homes on the horizon either as the development is set among nine acres of private, gated, landscaped grounds.
And the theme of space doesn’t stop with the setting – every home at Meadow View is detached and comes with four or five bedrooms and a good sized garden.
Would be buyers will have to move fast though - Meadow View is comprised of just 20 homes and with nearly a quarter having serious interest already, demand for the remaining 15 is set to be high.
According to the developers, the race will really hot up this weekend when people can look at a 3D model of the site - and see the stunning views for the first time.
Steve Ewer, Director of Donald Harrison Homes, said: “It’s little wonder that Meadow View has proved such a hit with househunters - there are so few schemes like this in the UK now. Detached, two storey new build homes are increasingly rare and developments set amongst acres of green space are seriously few and far between.
“We’ve worked hard to make the best of this truly rural setting – we’ve even made space for a village green and pond to create the look and feel of a typical British country hamlet.”
Meadow View consists of six different house types. All are individually finished with styles ranging from traditional Tudor and flint through to contemporary brick - ensuring each home retains its own unique character
Bespoke fitted kitchens featuring granite worktops and integrated stainless steel appliances come as standard, while spacious landscaped gardens to the front and rear give the properties added privacy. Generous room sizes and innovative design features add to the appeal.
Meadow View is situated just outside the north Hertfordshire village of Redbourn and is approximately two miles from the town of Harpenden and 1 mile from junction 9 of the M1.
The first homes are set to be completed by July of this year, when the scheme’s showhome will also be unveiled. Prices start from £695,000 for a four bedroom detached home, rising to £1,250,000 for a deluxe five bedroom property.
