Too good to be true in Letchworth

11th October 2007 Print
Too good to be true in Letchworth Housebuilders all over the country are going incentive crazy at the moment and are doing everything they can to entice purchasers to buy one of their new homes. If it’s not Part Exchange, it’s stamp duty paid and if it’s not a contribution to legal fees then they will give away a free holiday or some kind of electric product such as a plasma TV on completion. The most popular offer at the moment, however, is the really useful mortgage subsidy whereby the housebuilder offers some kind of monthly payment towards the cost of a mortgage.

Miller – voted as Housebuilder of the Year 2007 by Building magazine - is offering purchasers an impressive £1,000 a month for 12 months on selected plots at its development in Letchworth.

Steve Garton, Area Sales Manager for Miller, says: “I don’t think that there are many purchasers who wouldn’t want £1,000 a month towards their mortgage repayments. First time buyers will find the subsidy softens the blow of getting their first mortgage, whilst purchasers already on the property ladder will enjoy the left over cash each month in other ways. I think everyone is a winner with this offer.”

Not only will Miller pay towards the purchaser’s mortgage, they are also offering to pay stamp duty and legal fees as well. Miller at Letchworth offers a selection of new build and conversion apartments, as will later be offering a selection of two, three and four bedroom homes. Currently released are the new build apartments - which consist of Principals Lodge and Scholars Lodge – and sit at the front of the development, which is on the site of the former Norton School. But, with only three remaining, purchasers are urged to visit the development now to avoid disappointment.

Each apartment has been beautifully finished with some featuring high glazed arches and charming private verandahs and others with traditional bay windows or French windows. However, what remains the same throughout each apartment is the spaciousness, built-in kitchen appliances and modern bathroom and en-suite facilities.

The development, on Norton Road, is close to Letchworth Garden City, which has, amongst other things, a theatre, leisure centre, cinema, shopping centre and hospital.

To find out more about Miller’s irresistible mortgage incentive visit the sales centre, open daily from 10am to 5pm. Prices start at £209,950.
