Barratt wins approval for new homes in Hemel Hempstead
Barratt North London has secured planning permission to build Mosaic House, a development of 142 apartments, including 28 affordable homes, on the former site of the Jewish Care Home Rosetta House in Midland Road, Hemel Hempstead.Building work will commence in the autumn, when the first properties will be released for sale.
Glyn Hopping, managing director of Barratt North London, says: "We are delighted to have won planning consent for Mosaic House, which will bring much-needed new homes to the area. The striking scheme has a very convenient location, being just off the edge of the town centre."
Many of the contemporary apartments in Mosaic House will have balconies. Inside, the high specification includes designer kitchens with a range of integrated appliances including a stainless steel oven, hob and hood, a washer/dryer, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. The master bedrooms will have an en suite shower room, in addition to the main bathroom for the second bedroom. All the apartments will have video entry systems and the beautifully landscaped gardens will include paved and lit walkways. Every private apartment will have a car parking space located in a secure gated under croft car park.
