"Deer" new residents move in at Takeley development

Located close to Hatfield Forest, Hornbeams has recently played host to a herd of deer who had followed a stag into a neighbouring field adjacent to the development. Keen to ensure the safety of the deer staff at the site have been working alongside professional deer stalker, Mike Homan, to monitor and look after the herd. After many months of care, the deer have now safely moved back to their forest home.
Keen to show their support for the rather special, if unexpected, visitors to the development David Wilson Homes recently made a £500 donation to the British Deer Society.
Sales and marketing director for David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties, Rebecca Littler, commented: "On behalf of everyone at David Wilson Homes I would like to say thank you for everyone's support in caring and monitoring the deer. At David Wilson Homes we take maintaining the local ecological system very seriously, which is why often work alongside local community and specialist groups to ensure the protection and care for native animals."
Director for England and Wales for the British Deer Society, David Kenyon, added: "We would like to say a big thank you to David Wilson Homes for their generous donation, and the sympathetic and environmentally aware response to the deer at its Hornbeams development. Your money will go along way in aiding toward the care and protection of Britain's deer population."
David Wilson Homes is building a selection of three, four and five properties. Prices start at £264,995 for a three bedroom mews home, to £499,995 for a five bedroom detached home.
