Broxbourne development wins county award

Entries were judged by a panel of independent professionals, chaired by Eric Pickles, British Shadow Secretary of State. Judges included Peter Bolton King, chief executive of the National Association of Estate Agents, and Phil Spencer, property expert and presenter of Channel 4’s Location and Relocation TV shows.
Jeremy Marcus, Sales and Marketing Director at Higgins Homes, comments: “This is a fantastic achievement for Higgins Homes and testament to the importance the company places on design and build quality. New River Mews is a flagship development for the company and we are very proud to have our hard work and innovative ideas acknowledged by such prestigious awards.”
New River Mews is configured as a private mews and comprises just 14 houses that blend seamlessly with the local architectural vernacular. Externally, properties feature clean lines with grey slate roof tiles, large windows and French doors that open onto Juliette balconies and terraces, offering views over the river which runs behind the development. Each property also includes a carport or an integrated garage, with electrically operated door, as well as a further parking space.
Properties are light and spacious and each is fitted with a stylish Urban Myth kitchen, with stone composite work surfaces and stainless steel Miele appliances, including an electric oven, microwave, gas hob and a Siemens integrated fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Other high tech features include a central audio system with integrated iPort docking station and a central vacuum system.
Broxbourne retains its rural feel, with small local shops available in the village. The Brookfield shopping centre is three or four miles away, with some larger chain stores. New River Mews is ideally situated, being approximately 30 minutes to London Liverpool Street, approximately 20 minutes to Hertford and approximately one hour and six minutes to Cambridge by train*.
Prices for a three bedroom, three storey house start from £450,000. Purchasers can also benefit from either stamp duty refund or part exchange.
