Show piece now open at Meadow Mead A luxurious five-bedroom show home has recently been unveiled to the public at Kebbell Homes' Meadow Mead development on Meads Lane in Wheathampstead.

The spacious five-bedroom property has been thoughtfully designed by interior specialists Grove Design. Sue Purver Design Director explained, "The small stream that runs alongside the development has driven the design of the properties at the development, therefore the interior scheme follows this important feature.

"We used a natural palette of colour with a hint of aqua running through the living area and three of the bedrooms. We used embroidered silk and cotton materials for the curtains and mirrors and glass as decoration. The fourth bedroom is designed to appeal to teenage girls, using maroon and a small butterfly design. The fifth bedroom is on the top floor of the property and this, along side a spacious child's play area, is designed to demonstrate how the space can be adapted to suit a younger boy, using a palette of silver and large mirrors to create a sense of fun.

"We also selected a piece of abstract artwork to be displayed in each room - this is a fantastic way to liven up the home but also bring character to an individual space. By keeping the furniture, bedding and general decoration as neutral as possible, accessories can be used to create a bright and exciting environment."

Gin Roaf, Sales and Marketing Director at Kebbell Homes added, "Show homes are very important for any new development as they help potential purchasers envisage what life really could be like in their new home. The show home here has been beautifully designed to reflect modern day living and compliment the uncompromised views and idyllic surroundings."

The show home itself has been designed to make the most of the countryside setting of Wheathampstead. Large French doors to the living and dining areas are positioned to take full advantage of the stunning views as well as large windows on the first and second floors of the property.

Meadow Mead is an outstanding development of just six highly individual four- and five-bedroom homes. Located in Meads Lane, the development enjoys a peaceful position with gardens backing onto the banks of the River Lee.

Wheathampstead has a wide range of local amenities including a general store and post office whilst St Albans and Harpenden provide a diverse range of shops and exclusive designer stores. Further afield the affluent towns of Watford and Welwyn Garden City (30 minute drive) both offer indoor shopping centres and big name department stores such as John Lewis. Access into London is also effortless with the ‘Thames link' rail service operating from nearby Harpenden.

Prices at Meadow Mead start from £695,000. For more information, log on to Kebbell.co.uk.
