Good things come to those who wait

Winifred explains: “My husband and I had been living in a flat in the Bushey area for sometime but after his death I was keen to move to a smaller apartment that would require less maintenance. The land that my old flat was located on had been pinpointed by another developer for re-development so I had no worries with regards to finding a buyer for my current home. However, trying to find a new home that was suitable was a different matter.”
Due to a close network of friends in Bushey, Winifred was keen to stay in the area. Winifred comments: “The first thing that drew me to Heathside Grange was the fantastic location. The development is conveniently located close to my friends and also just a short stroll away from the shops.”
Commenting on the choice of new build, Winifred says: “I had never purchased a new build property before but this type of home appealed to me immensely as it meant that I would be moving into a property with brand new fixtures and fittings right from the start. The fact that Heathside Grange also benefits from a maintained communal garden is also a bonus and I’m very much looking forward to making use of it when the weather improves. In general, moving to a new build has minimised the strain and worry of up-keeping a home and given me more time to relax and socialise with friends and family.”
She continues: “Even though I was downsizing I was keen to find a home with good proportions and ample amounts of living space. One of the things I really like about my home is that even though it is only a one bedroom apartment it is very spacious, especially the lounge. This is something that is quite rare in many one bedroom apartments!
“Additionally, the chance to downsize gave me the chance to have a sort out and get rid of some of my old furniture and replace it with more modern furniture that would be more in keeping with my new home.”
Winifred has now been living in her apartment for over five months and has settled in well. She concludes: “Living in apartments exclusively dedicated for ‘over 55s’ suits me down to a tee. It has been so easy to get to know like-minded people and I have already made some good friends. You also have the added advantage of not have children running around or shouting all times of the day or night! I’m delighted with my decision to buy a Banner home and am looking forward to many happy years here!”
All of the apartments have now been sold at Heathside Grange. However, Banner Homes is building a number of similar apartments in the area including: Copsewood House and Brookdene House both located in Northwood.
Brookdene and Copsewood House are the latest stylish collections of two and three bedroom apartments to be built by award winning developer Banner Homes. Both developments have been built to the highest of design standards and finished to Banner’s trade mark levels of quality. Brookdene House, located on Brookdene Drive, is fantastically located with close proximity to Northwood underground station and the vibrant town centre. Whilst many apartments at Copsewood House, located on Rickmansworth Road, boast relaxing views of the Northwood Golf Club.
Brookdene House is a gated development with a secure car park, and Copsewood House comes complete with a basement car park. Both developments feature professionally landscaped communal grounds – perfect for those who love gardens but not the gardening that comes with them!
Prices at Brookdene House start at £350,000 and rise to £450,000. Whilst prices at Copsewood House start from £310,000 and increase to £610,000. The show apartments are now open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm. For further information, log on to Bannerhomes.co.uk.
