Postie collects a new home on his round

After completing his round one day he decided to go and look at the plans.
Richard, 40, said: “I was living in a flat in the village but I really missed having a garden and so when I saw the homes being built at Morgans Orchard I decided to go and see what was on offer. As I visited in the very early stages of development there wasn’t much to see but the advantage was that I got the pick of the plots. As soon as I saw the size of the gardens I decided to reserve a home.
“I am so happy here – I have wonderful views of the golf course from my lounge window, the neighbours are lovely and my friends and family are all nearby.”
Richard used Bryant Homes’ Market Mover scheme to buy his three bedroom Wessex design. The scheme enables purchasers to reserve the home of their choice at an agreed, fixed price leaving Bryant Homes to take care of marketing their existing property and organising everything from valuations and instructing estate agents to even paying their fees!
Richard added: “I really wanted to buy that particular plot but was worried that while I was trying to sell my flat someone might beat me to it! The Market Mover scheme was ideal for me because it ensured that no one else could buy the home that I wanted and it saved me a lot of time, trouble and expense.”
As he moved in to his new home just before Christmas Richard hasn’t had much chance to enjoy his new garden but he’s looking forward to inviting friends and family round for a barbeque as soon as the weather warms up.
Richard added: “Kington is such a wonderful, friendly community that I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. I grew up in the region and used to work on my family’s farm before I became a postman. In fact the excellent community is one of the reasons why I was drawn to Morgans Orchard. The other big attraction was that I love being outdoors and the development is surrounded by countryside which is perfect. I really enjoy coming home in the afternoon, putting my feet up with a cup of tea and admiring the beautiful views.”
Morgans Orchard offers house hunters a collection of stylish two and three bedroom homes in the historic market town of Kington. The High Street caters for everyday needs with a post office, banks and chemists to a selection of local and national retailers.
At the weekend the outstanding natural beauty of the Herefordshire countryside surrounding the development offers excellent opportunities for long walks and picnics. Offa’s Dyke Path and the famed River Wye are both close by to Kington – perfect for nature lovers. Historians will be in their element with the ancient monuments of Four Stone and Arthur’s Stone as well as Brabury House, Burton Court and the National Trust’s Cwmmau Farmhouse.
Golfers can enjoy a round at a one of the highest golf courses in the UK on the top of Bradnor Hill while those who enjoy a more leisurely weekend will find they’re spoilt for choice with welcoming pubs and restaurants.
If you’re keen to move to Kington but don’t have anything spare to put towards saving for a deposit then the Homebuy Direct Scheme* available at Morgans Orchard could be just what you’re looking for.
The scheme is a government backed grant assisted purchase plan designed to help first time buyers get a foot on the ladder. Those using the scheme will only need to find a mortgage for 70% of the price of their new home while we will co-fund the remaining 30% of the purchase price with the Government. The initiative enables buyers with a low joint income, little or no equity or no deposit to snap up a stylish two bedroom Rye coach house for less than £85,500.
Currently available at Morgans Orchard is a range of two bedroom coach houses priced from £121,995 and two and three bedroom homes priced from £129,995. For further information visit the site, or log on to bryant.co.uk.
