Miller Homes’ 007 Ball a roaring success

Neil Dawkin, assistant land buyer and chairman of the team commented: “We decided to create a lavish 007 themed ball, but we didn’t realise how much hard work and organisation it would take. We were so pleased that it was a huge success, we managed to sell all 500 tickets and we hit the two main criteria we were aiming for, to raise lots of money for the Prince’s Trust charity and for everyone to have a good time!”
Sarah Dixon, private sector fundraising manager for the Prince’s Trust commented: “The event exceeded all expectations and was a showcase for all the commitment and enthusiasm the team had given this project. The target of £20,000 was hugely surpassed which means that 100’s of young people across the Yorkshire and Humberside region will greatly benefit.”
The Miller team included Neil Dawkin, Ross Clarkson, field sales manager, Luke Gidney, assistant site manager, Amanda Fletcher, technical secretary and Gurpreet Bansal, technical co-ordinator. Neil continued: “It has been a great experience for us all. We all feel that it has been really beneficial to us and has certainly improved our team working and communication skills.”
The task posed many challenges along the way however the team were triumphant on the night with all guests danced the night away until the early hours, as well as spending lots of cash on the fantastic prizes in the auction and raffle. Some of which included an Aston Martin and Golf Experience package, helicopter ride and a trip to Miami, as well as a signed England football shirt from the 2006 World Cup which went for a staggering £1,500.
