NLA post-Budget 2008 financial and tax information

6th March 2008 Print
The National Landlords Association (NLA), which represents almost 14,000 landlords, is offering up-dated post-Budget 2008 financial and tax information to landlords as part of its newly launched e-learning programme.

The programme, landlorddevelopment.org.uk, can be used as a structured learning tool offering landlords the opportunity to complete online modules where competence is automatically recorded as part of a landlord's Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

In addition to this generic financial information for landlords, there will be up-to-date modules on:

Record-keeping
Income Tax
VAT
Capital Gains Tax
Stamp Duty Land Tax
Inheritance Tax
Mortgages
Landlord Energy Saving Allowance

Alison Perkins, Landlord Development Manager, NLA, said: "Financial advice for consumers has been hitting the headlines lately, but just as important is accurate information for the 800,000 landlords for whom taxation can be a complicated matter. The programme will help keep landlords up-to-date with the many changes that occur in Budget 2008 and help raise standards in the sector, improving the tenant experience."

The e-learning programme is free to all NLA members. Non-members can subscribe for £40 per year.
