Persimmon back Saints for new season

The Northampton Saints with Sue Blackman, managing director for Persimmon Homes Midlands (centre) Persimmon Homes Midlands will be continuing its sponsorship of local rugby club, the Northampton Saints for the 2007/8 season. The Northampton based home builder’s name has been emblazoned on players shirts since October 2003, with Persimmon’s group chief executive, John White a keen supporter of the Saints and regular spectator at home matches.

Speaking about Persimmon’s continuing commitment to the club, Allan Robson, chief executive for the Northampton Saints commented:

“We are delighted to see Persimmon Homes’ unwavering dedication to the club despite our recent relegation. Persimmon’s commitment to the Saints over the past few years has been fantastic both on a corporate and personal level, with members of the company regularly present at home games and we hope their support will spur us on to success this season.”

Sue Blackman, managing director for Persimmon Homes Midlands added: “The sponsorship of Northampton Saints is something which all of our staff are extremely proud of and we are thrilled to be supporting the club again this season. As a Northampton based company, the success of the Saints is very close to our hearts and we will be following their progress very carefully this year as they fight to get back into the Premiership.”
