Home and dry thanks to washing line hunt

When Stuart Wynne set off to look for a new washing line – he never thought he’d end up buying a new home as well. Now Stuart, his wife Louise and 15 month old daughter, Megan, are home and dry in a fantastic new three storey, four bed Woodcote at Barratt’s The Elms development at Thorpe Astley.

The couple used to live in Ayres Monsall and Stuart’s quest for a new washing line took him to the popular retail area around Fosse Park. He spotted the new Barratt development at the nearby The Elms and popped in for a look.

Stuart said: “I saw the Woodcote and looked at all the super Barratt extras that went with it. I thought it was just too good to be true and I came back with Louise for a second look.

Louise said: “We just fell in love with the Woodcote. We thought we could not afford to move – but when we heard that Barratt could take our existing house in part exchange and give us full market value – we just had to go for it.

“Everything happened so quickly and without fuss. All we had to do was sign a piece of paper, Barratt looked after the rest.”

Start said: “We were very impressed by the build quality and standard of finish. There was just so little to do when we moved in. The Barratt sales and construction staff were fantastic and any minor problems were dealt with quickly and efficiently.

“I work in Northampton and The Elms is ideal for commuting. There is easy access to the M1 – as well as the first class shopping facilities at Fosse Park. Homes are much more expensive in Northampton and buying in Leicester gave us much more for our money.”

Louise said: “There is just so much room in the Woodcote. Our 15-month old daughter Megan can have a room of her own and when our 11-year-old step-daughter comes to stay – she can have her own room too. It is perfect.”
