Why buying new could be your best option

16th June 2008 Print
Why buying new could be your best option When you buy a home it's likely you will have to change old fixtures and fittings, re-decorate the walls and re-carpet it all before you even get the chance to move your furniture in.

That's why David Wilson Homes South Midlands believes it's best to buy new and is encouraging home hunters to visit its Angler's Rest development in Daventry to see the benefits for themselves.

Sales director, Ronel Segar (Mrs), says: "We are always getting comments on how much easier it is to settle into a brand new home. All of our homes are stylishly decorated with modern fixtures so you can just move straight in without the additional cost of DIY and, if you do need design inspiration, visiting one of our show homes at Angler's Rest will provide you with all the inspiration you may need.

"What's more, buying new also reduces the worry of things like electrical faults and boiler breakdowns which are an inconvenience and can be expensive to repair."

One of the fantastic new homes available at Angler's Rest is the four bedroom Ashtree, available from £249,995, which is flexible and caters for modern day living needs - a practicality which simply can't be found in an older property.

The Ashtree benefits from the clever use of space throughout the upper floor which comprises the master bedroom, complete with ensuite, two double bedrooms, and a further bedroom which can easily be adapted into a study, home office or playroom to suit each individual family's needs. Each bedroom also features a fitted wardrobe, providing lots of storage space for all those must-have purchases.

The ground floor comprises a kitchen/breakfast room which forms the hub of the home, a separate dining room for more formal entertaining and a sitting room which stretches the breadth of the property. Large double doors open out onto a patio area which is perfect for a spot of al fresco dining in the summer months.

"Another benefit of buying new is that you can see your home take shape before your eyes" adds Ronel. "At Angler's Rest a row of Angler townhouses are currently being built, perfect for families and young professionals, and you can mark the progress of every step of the build right from the very first brick."

Attention to detail is evident throughout the three storey Angler, which is available from £236,995. For example the ground floor kitchen is fitted with the latest appliances so it's not hard for prospective buyers to imagine themselves cooking up a culinary delight to serve up to the family. Meanwhile, a separate family/dining room creates the perfect environment for a family to get together at the end of a day.

Up on the first floor there is a separate sitting room, creating the perfect environment for entertaining guests or cosy nights in front of the television. Large floor to ceiling windows allow light to flood into the room creating a light, airy environment and allowing views over the stunning lakeside scenery. A bedroom with an ensuite completes the floor and is perfect for when friends come to stay.

Finally, the second floor boasts a large master suite which extends across the breadth of the house and two additional bedrooms, one of which could easily be converted into a quiet study or games area depending on the family's needs, whilst a separate family bathroom provides plenty of space for the early morning rush to get ready for work or school.

Ronel adds: "As the property is spread over three storeys it adds a whole new dimension to living which you can't achieve in an older home. It provides the solution for households which expand and contract as circumstances change preventing the need for relocation."

Another bonus of buying a new property at Angler's Rest is the fantastic range of financial initiatives available at the development, with prices starting at as little as £199,995 with your five percent deposit paid.

Ronel adds: "All of our initiatives have been designed with our customers in mind to help ease any stresses or financial strains that come with buying a new home. What's more, with such a wide choice of incentives we really have ensured that there is something to suit any need and budget."

Lovely location

Angler's Rest is an example of waterside living at its best. The development is situated near a reservoir, off Farnbourough Drive in Daventry nestled in tranquil surroundings.

For fitness fans there is a local golf course nearby and for those who want to slow down the pace of life even further, long walks along the Grand Union canal come highly recommended.

Daventry is also a great location for commuters as the M1 is easy to access from the development and the local train station is a short distance away providing good links to London and Northampton.
