Do your homework at The Cedars

When the couple decided to make the move from their rented home in Kings Lynn, Liz who works from home full time, was determined to find a property which offered her the flexibility of an office.
"It was really important for me to find a family home which could also provide me with the space I needed for my work", explains Liz. "At our previous house I had to work out of the third bedroom which was cramped and dingy and because it was on the same floor as our bedroom I never truly felt as though I could escape from work.
"The designs at The Cedars were perfect; our three bedroom Tirley home has a good sized office on the ground floor which gets plenty of light from the patio doors leading out on to the garden and when I have finished I can close the door on my work and go up to the first and second floors to relax with my family where our kitchen, living room and bedrooms are located."
The Cedars also offered the perfect working solution for husband Noel who as an Avionics Engineer needs to commute to a selection of airports.
Liz explains: "It was key for Noel to be within close reach of as many airports as possible and a home in Corby provided the ideal solution; it is near to Coventry, Birmingham, East Midlands and Luton which gives him plenty of options and means once he has landed he never has far to travel before being back at home."
And it wasn't just the design and location of the homes at The Cedars which made a big impression on Liz and Noel.
Liz continues: "We were also very impressed with the finish of the David Wilson homes and the service they offered. We were initially looking at older properties but when a survey uncovered subsidence at one of the homes we liked we took our friends advice and decided to look at new build instead.
"We searched on the internet for three storey townhouses and found a few developers within the area which offered this type of home. When we visited the other sites it quickly became clear that the quality of the build at The Cedars was far superior to any of the other homes we had seen and because our home is so well decorated it means we haven't had to shell out on DIY.
"The sales advisor Susie Bissett was also outstanding. She was only too happy to help whenever we had questions or concerns and worked with us to find the best financial package, a five per cent deposit paid scheme, which enabled us to purchase a higher value property than we ever thought we could afford."
Liz, Noel and daughter Abi have now been living in their new Tirley home for just over two months and have quickly settled into Corby life.
"We have found everyone really friendly and have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our neighbours and the local area. Abi is due to start school at the brand new Oakley Vale Primary School in September so life couldn't be better."
