Idyllic Northamptonshire living

28th January 2009 Print
Idyllic Northamptonshire living 2009 promises to be a great year for one couple in Northamptonshire who will be moving into their dream home at David Wilson Homes South Midlands' Aspect development in Upton at the end of February.

Darren and Julie, who are originally from Milton Keynes, have lived in Upton for the past two years and decided to move to Aspect because of the unique design of the homes and its beautiful location.

Darren, a business development manager, explains: "We've always liked Upton because of its proximity to the town centre, local retail outlets, shops, pubs, restaurants and the entertainment complex. Upton also has a great community feel and it's right on the edge of the Northamptonshire countryside which is beautiful.

"Aspect seems to encapsulate all of these things. What stood out for us was the view from the development, which overlooks stunning green fields. We also loved the design of the houses. Because it's detached, our three bedroom Halcyon home is really spacious and the layout is unusual and unique, unlike any other house we'd viewed. It's everything that you wouldn't expect from a new build."

Part-Exchange Made Easy
The couple were able to buy their new home before it was completed thanks to David Wilson Homes' part-exchange scheme, which made the process simple and easy. The scheme means that David Wilson Homes will effectively buy your old home leaving you free to buy your new home. The company will then sell your old home freeing you from the stresses of breaking chains, estate agent fees and organising your HIP.

Darren continues: "The part-exchange scheme was fantastic for us and made the process so easy and stress-free. In fact, David Wilson have already sold our old home and we are just waiting for the new home to be completed before we move in. I don't think we would have had such a fast sale if we were organising it ourselves."

Green Living
With award winning house designs which combine contemporary architectural features with an extremely high level of specification, this exclusive development of just 26, three, four and five bedroom homes from £225,995 is made even more exception by the genuine and innovative eco features of the homes, including rain water harvesting, solar panels, and sustainable building processes.

"We can't wait to take advantage of the eco features in our new home which include under floor heating, a wood burner in the lounge and solar panelling to heat our gas boiler," Darren continues. "It's great to feel we'll be doing our bit for the environment and it will save us money on energy bills which is a fantastic bonus."

Halcyon Home
Prospective purchasers will be impressed by the large open plan kitchen and dining area on the ground floor, complete with large bi-fold doors and double height ceilings which maximise natural light and space to create a bright and welcoming area for everyday living, as well as for entertaining friends and family.

The bi-fold doors also provide great access to the garden, a perfect excuse for summer barbeques and evenings on the patio. Also downstairs is a separate lounge area, a relaxing space to unwind after a busy day and a cloakroom to cater for your everyday needs.

Meanwhile, the first floor comprises a double bedroom, family bathroom and a single room which could easily be used as an office or hobby room depending on individual needs. Finally, on the top floor prospective buyers will be blown away by a magnificent master suite, which has a double height ceiling and en-suite with a double shower cubicle. The room offers the ultimate wow factor and the perfect luxurious retreat.

All the bedrooms come with fully fitted wardrobes and a single, secured remote controlled garage is also provided onsite.

This is the second new home that Darren and Julie have bought together in Upton and Darren believes that their great experience with David Wilson Homes was all down to the sales advisor at the development: "The sales advisor was always extremely helpful," explains Darren. "We are extremely happy with the service we have received and can't wait to move into our new home."
