Lucky Lisa loves new role at Seagrave Manor New Sales Executive Lisa Karavias is welcoming a full house of visitors to George Wimpey’s Seagrave Manor development in Barton Seagrave, Northamptonshire. After 20 years working in the casino industry, Lisa decided to join the leading housebuilder – and it’s a gamble that has really paid off.

“The two industries do have surprising similarities,” says Lisa (40). “Both are very customer-focussed, and a sales environment is suited to people like me, who enjoy the company of others.

“But the best part of selling homes is helping people to make their dreams come true. From finding out about people’s lifestyles and the right home to suit them to the excitement of moving in day, it’s very enjoyable and rewarding.”

Over the past 18 months Lisa has worked at George Wimpey’s Turners development in Northampton and at Mawsley Village near Kettering, before coming to Seagrave Manor.

“Seagrave Manor is quite different from the larger developments where I was previously based,” she explains. “We are building just 29 three and four-bedroom homes here in Barton Seagrave, with plenty of green spaces and a peaceful, village feel.

“The majority of people who have already moved in are from the local area. Most own a property, but are looking for something larger, or a newer home with nice finishing touches and fresh features.”

Seagrave Manor is only five minutes from Kettering town centre, and 20 minutes from Northampton and Wellingborough. It’s also handy for the A14 and A43, which offer good links to the rest of the Midlands.

Customers can currently choose from three-bedroom homes starting at £149,995, and four-bedroom detached properties from £239,995.

“Although all the homes have lovely touches, my favourite design is the four-bedroom ‘Cresswell’, which we have open to visitors as a showhome next to my sales office,” adds Lisa. “It’s beautifully decorated in a contemporary style, using whites with a deep mauve accent colour.

“We have seen a great deal of interest in the homes over the past few months, and are finding that people are choosing brand new properties over the second-hand market because we can assist people with the sale of their old house through our Easymover scheme. Selling your old home can be a slow process at the moment, but we can take that hassle away and help our customers to find a buyer more quickly.”

Easymover guarantees those with a home to sell 100% of the market value and pays the estate agents’ fees in addition to providing a range of incentives on selected properties for first-time buyers.

Customers can also take advantage of the leading housebuilder’s House 2 Home bespoke moving package comprising free UK removal regardless of distance or size of property, full packing and unpacking service and insurance cover.

Homes at Seagrave Manor are within walking distance of the local village amenties, including a primary school, an arts college, shops, pubs and a parish church, while Wicksteed Park is also easily reached on foot.

Kettering, just a short distance from the village, offers direct, 60-minute rail services to London St Pancras.

To see the showhome and find out more about making a quick and easy move to a brand new home, visit Seagrave Manor off Barton Road, Barton Seagrave, and open seven days a week from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
