Industry recognition for Harrison Murray director Harrison Murray’s commercial director, Nick Salmon, already an Honoured Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents has received further industry recognition by featuring in a newly-compiled estate agency internet Who’s Who list.

Put together by the UK’s widest read estate agency website, Estate Agency Today, the list features people of influence or status in the property industry, who are acknowledged by their peers.

As commercial director for Harrison Murray, Nick is based largely at the company’s head office in Northampton but spends a substantial amount of his time overseeing the St Alban’s office, as well as giving input to all the 18 Harrison Murray branches.

Nick has been in the property industry for over 30 years and is a board member of the NFOPP (National Federation of Property Professionals), the leading industry body that oversees the conduct of some 14,000 estate and letting agents in the U.K. Before joining Harrison Murray in 2007 he was managing director of a London firm of estate agents.

In 2001 Nick co-founded the SPLINTA Campaign, supported by some 2,000 firms of estate agents, surveyors and solicitors, which lobbies the Government against HIPs (Home Information Packs).

A prolific contributor to property articles in the national and local press Nick has a high profile media presence, appearing regularly on national and regional TV and radio to comment on property-related matters.

Nick (pictured) said: “I am genuinely surprised and flattered to have been included on the list. My colleagues at Harrison Murray know that I care passionately about raising the professional standing of estate agents but it is also very gratifying to receive the wider recognition.”
