Couple land dream home via part-exchange

A Northamptonshire couple have been able to move up to their dream home at David Wilson South Midlands’ Arena Gate development in Duston thanks to the housebuilder’s part-exchange deal.

Barry and Barbara Jacobs were living in a four- bedroom detached home in Wootton Fields but had always aspired to live in a David Wilson home. After visiting the developer’s exclusive Aspect development in Upton on behalf of Barry’s brother, the couple decided to start the hunt for a new home.

44 year old Barry, who works as a Maintenance Operations Manager for Waitrose, comments “We’ve always wanted to live in a David Wilson home but for one reason or another we’ve never purchased one. So after visiting Aspect and being impressed with the quality of the build, we made the decision to look and see what was available at other developments nearby.”

39 year old Barbara works as a Personnel Operations Manager for John Lewis and commutes to London every day by train so location was a big factor in choosing a new home. Arena Gate on Main Road is just five minutes from Northampton train station and so this development seemed like the obvious choice for the couple.

Upon visiting Arena Gate, Barry and Barbara loved the Bunty house style and decided there and then that they wanted to buy.

Barry adds “We both fell in love with the house as soon as we saw it. It’s a lot larger than our old home and the open plan layout really appealed to us. The large downstairs study was also something that would prove useful as I work from home about 60 per cent of the time and so being able to have a work space away from my personal space was a big bonus.”

Barry and Barbara took advantage of David Wilson’s part-exchange deal which allowed them to exchange their old four- bedroom detached home for their brand new home at Arena Gate.

Barry continues “Part-exchange was incredibly easy and we have absolutely no complaints about the impeccable service we received from all the staff at David Wilson. We got a very good deal and everything just seemed to fall into place.”

The couple moved into their new home on 21st May and have no regrets about trading up.
