Out with the old and in with the new in Worksop

Following the breakdown of her relationship and the death of her mother, Maria Gray decided it was time to make a fresh start and the perfect way would be to buy a brand new home.
The 44 year old wanted a spacious, four- bedroom property for her and her son Daniel and as they wanted to stay in the Worksop area, they decided to look around Barratt’s Celtic Village development on Raymoth Lane.
Maria comments “I was instantly impressed when I got to Celtic Village not only by the variety of home styles on offer and the wide open public spaces, but in particular the big feature crescent which is the first thing you see upon entering the development.”
Unfortunately, when Maria looked around there were no four- bedroom properties available, so the househunters had to leave empty handed. But fortunately for Maria luck was on her side and just a couple of weeks later one of the four- bedroom properties came back onto the market.
Maria adds “As soon as Wendy the sales advisor called to say there was a four- bedroom home available, I went straight down to the development to find out more.
“It turned out the available property was a Windermere and it was exactly what we were looking for. It was a lot bigger than our old home and provided us with that extra bit of space that we were craving. Plus I liked that it had a separate utility room and of course an en-suite.”
The Windermere is a spacious and thoughtfully planned four- bedroom detached family home. The ground floor boasts a large lounge, an open plan kitchen and breakfast room with utility off as well as a separate dining room that is ideal for more formal dining occasions. The first floor comprises four good size bedrooms, the master of which benefits from an en-suite, plus the family bathroom.
As Maria bought the property off plan, she was also able to take advantage of the benefits that come with purchasing a home prior to construction which included the chance to stamp her own personal design preferences onto her new home by choosing the kitchen units, tiles and flooring.
Maria and Daniel moved into their new home in June and along with their Labrador Harvey, have settled well into their new home.
Maria concludes “I love the fact that everything in our new home is brand new and that nobody else has lived here before us. Plus, because everything is new we haven’t had to worry about any DIY so all we’ve had to do is move our furniture in.
“All the staff at Barratt have been incredibly helpful throughout our buying process and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them or Celtic Village to all my friends and family.”
James Poynor, Sales Director at Barratt North Midlands comments “Part exchange is one of our most popular deals and continues to help large numbers of homehunters purchase their dream home.
“It’s the easy way to take your next step up the property ladder and is ideal for those struggling to sell an existing home during the current market.
“It also eases a lot of the stresses associated with moving home as we do all the hard work for you. Part exchange is available at all our developments throughout Nottinghamshire, come in and speak with one of our sales advisors to find out more.”
Barratt North Midlands has recently been rated as a four star housebuilder after scoring top marks in the annual Home Builders Federation customer satisfaction survey. The results confirm that the vast majority of buyers are satisfied with the quality of their new home and would recommend Barratt to a friend.
