Moving with Redrow is as easy as 1, 2, 3

Moving with Redrow is as easy as 1, 2, 3 Driving instructor Paul Sheridan knew he was heading in the right direction when he and his family began looking for their perfect home in Corby. Within three days the family had reserved their dream home at Redrow @ Oakley Vale in Corby and sold their old property in Luton, Bedfordshire.

Corby offered everything that the Sheridans were looking for – beautiful surroundings, good schools for sons Jake, aged six, and Sam, four, job prospects for Paul and his wife Tracy and an exciting large-scale plan to regenerate the town.

Paul says: “We’d heard about the regeneration of Corby and it sounded like a great up and coming area, which was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted to move somewhere where we could get more for our money and we definitely did that with Redrow.

“We had looked at a few housebuilders before seeing the Redrow home and we immediately liked it. We thought it might be out of our price range but we enquired anyway and were delighted to find out that it was within our budget. We reserved the house on a Sunday, Redrow arranged for an estate agent to meet us on the Monday, and our old home was sold on the Tuesday. It was a very swift move.”

Paul and Tracy, both 33, took advantage of Redrow’s Mastermove scheme. It allows customers to ‘hold’ their dream Redrow home for up to four weeks, whilst Redrow pursues a targeted action plan to sell their existing property and ultimately pays their estate agents – and all for a minimal fee, which is refundable when they legally complete.

Paul adds: “We went for a new build home because we wanted everything to be brand new, and to be able to pick out the fittings for our house – like bathroom tiles and kitchen finishes. Redrow gave us a host of incentives as well which helped us out.”

Paul and Tracy chose a home with its accommodation arranged over three floors – a four-bedroom Walkham. He adds: “The top floor is fantastic because it allows the boys their own space. They have the same sized bedrooms too which is great because it means there’s no arguing over that!

“We’ve settled in nicely – business is starting to pick up for me and Tracy has started her first job as a primary school teacher in Kettering, which is only 10 minutes away. Jake and Sam have started at a nice little village school just outside Corby and we have begun to get involved with the local community – Jake has started playing for the local under 7s football team and I’m coaching them.”

Redrow is one of several developers creating Oakley Vale, a new village environment complete with a shopping precinct and primary schools, as well as large areas of open space. The development is perfect for the commuter, with the M1 and M6 within easy reach, as well as the A14, with links to the M1 and Cambridge.

There are currently a selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes available at Redrow @ Oakley Vale, with prices from £129,995 for two-bedroom terrace up to £227,995 for a detached three-storey home.

Corby is currently the subject of a project worth more than a quarter-of-a-billion pounds to regenerate and modernise the town, managed by North Northants Development Company. As well as building new houses, schools and shops, a better transport infrastructure is planned, together with a new arts centre, library and leisure facilities, including a 50 metre swimming pool.

For your chance to own a home at Oakley Vale, visit Redrow’s new show home and marketing suite, off Lyveden Way, Oakley Vale, Corby, open daily between 10am and 5.30pm.
