Interestingly enough the Poole Council has more than 1200 beach huts stretching along its beautiful coastline including Branksome Chine, Branksome Dene Chine, Canford Cliffs Chine and Promenade, Sandbanks, Shore Road and Hamworthy Park.
Their website is quoted on their waiting list as follows ‘Please note that the waiting list is currently closed as we have been inundated with applications. The waiting time for Beach Huts and Hamworthy Park Sites is currently approximately 10 years and it is the Council’s policy not to add any more applicants to the list until it is reduced to 5 years waiting. There are various factors that will be taken into consideration before the lists can be reopened including the number of applicants waiting, the numbers and types (i.e. ground or upper level) of beach huts allocated in the previous three years. Once the waiting time is reduced to 5 years the list will re-open and you will be informed through this website’.
