Top marks for Barratt East student opportunity

18th April 2007 Print
Barratt East Scotland, Edinburgh’s most prolific house-builder, is set to receive top marks from students and their families this spring.

At two of Barratt East’s developments in the City, The Artworks and Sapphire Point, Britain’s Housebuilder of the Year is offering students and their families the opportunity to reserve before 20 May 07 and legally complete by 22 June 2007. In return, the new homeowner will have their mortgage (up to £6,000) paid for four months until September 07, at which time college and university terms recommence.

The location of Barratt East Scotland’s developments within the City make them prime for the tourist and Festival season, when universities are on break and the city is flooded with travellers from across the globe, looking for somewhere to stay. This incentive has been also ideal for assisting young people get on the property ladder early.

At Sapphire Point, the final phase of 2 bedroom properties is currently available from just £166,295 whilst at The Artworks, a number of spacious 2 bedroom apartments are available from just £250,395.

Barratt East Scotland Sales Director, Angela McKimmie comments;

“We recognise the high costs incurred by a family when their son or daughter has to live away from home whilst studying. Rather than pay rental for up to 4 years, and receive nothing at the end, we are offering families the opportunity to invest in a property which will still be theirs even after their child’s studies are complete.”
