Edinburgh’s Optima gives couple best of both worlds

Kay, 65, and Ronnie, 57, snapped up their house in the resort of Kusadesi while enjoying a holiday there.
Kay said: “We were on holiday and decided that we liked the place so much that we would buy a second home.”
They initially bought a two-bedroom apartment at Optima, as their base in the UK, but decided to rent it out, and opted for a larger four-bedroom, split-level duplex apartment for themselves.
Kay said: “The development is near where our old house was and we like the area.
“Our old house was a bungalow and we didn’t feel safe leaving it empty with us being away so much but the added security of an apartment makes it perfect as a lock up and leave.
“We have been very happy here and it is really spacious, which is ideal when the grandchildren come round.”
Kay and Ronnie have an active social life and are busy people spending six months of the year in their Turkish home, so a brand new home appealed to them.
Kay said: “Everything was new and ready to walk into and we didn’t have any work to do on it.”
Optima comprises of two-bedroom apartments, three-bedroom townhouses and villas and four-bedroom split level apartments.
Just four miles from Edinburgh city centre the development is served well by public transport so you can choose to leave the car at home.
Two-bedroom apartments are currently available at Optima from £157,000, which demonstrates great value for money for such a fantastic location.
As well as down-sizers like the Jacksons, Optima also suits first time buyers, investors, professional couples, friends sharing to get onto the property ladder and even families in the larger properties.
