New apartments have broad appeal in Prestonpans

New apartments have broad appeal in Prestonpans One of the first developments in Scotland to feature new look homes by award winning Redrow is now satisfying the needs of a more diverse range of home buyers.

After meeting demand for four-bedroom detached family homes at The Potteries, in Prestonpans, Redrow is now offering two-bedroom Argal apartments and three-bedroom townhouses.

Like the larger detached homes before them, these latest properties boast Redrow’s new-look specification, including contemporary kitchen choices with floor to ceiling units and top name appliances, plus sleek bathroom suites,

Priced through easi buy from just £91,496 and including an en-suite bathroom, the ‘Argal’ style apartments are sleek, spacious and perfect for first time buyers, young professionals or downsizers. They are arranged within a small and attractive, low-level curved terrace of just six properties.

Thanks to easi buy, buyers can put off paying 25% of an apartments purchase price for up to 10 years as an interest-free loan.

That means home owners can enjoy all the comforts of a well designed, quality built and efficient-to-run Redrow home for just three quarters of the usual price.

The major plus point is that purchasers only have to apply for a 75% mortgage – giving them access to some of the best interest rates around - and they will receive an interest free loan from Redrow for the remainder. They might not even need to find a deposit.

Redrow’s ‘easi:buy’ scheme is aimed at helping first time buyers on to the property ladder, but is open to others who would like to defer paying part of the cost of their new home until a time when they have more funds available.

Diana Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (Scotland), says: “We’ve already been satisfying a largely family audience at The Potteries with a selection of four-bedroom detached homes. Our smaller three-bedroom townhouses and now these two-bedroom apartments mean we can introduce more people to the beauty of our new specification homes and the convenience of this location.

“The apartments are energy-efficient, easy to maintain and offer a secure environment.”

Set on the outskirts of the popular coastal town of Prestonpans and just 10 miles from the bright lights of Edinburgh, The Potteries is a perfect base for commuters looking for a better quality of life.

Prestonpans itself offers a range of local amenities, has excellent road connections and average house prices that compare favourably to the neighbouring towns of Port Seaton and Musselbrough. The local railway station is less than half a mile away and offers regular services to Edinburgh Waverley in around 15 minutes.

Redrow also has three-bedroom ‘Lomond’ style homes, with the roof space cleverly converted to add an extra floor of living space. This area is given over to a sumptuous master bedroom with en-suite. These are available with part-exchange.
