Edinburgh’s newest quarter takes shape

25th August 2009 Print
Edinburgh’s newest quarter takes shape Quartermile is fast becoming an exciting new quarter in the capital as the first phase of landscaping reaches completion.

Two acres of lush green space has now been freshly planted at the development, as Quartermile becomes an even more desirable place to live, relax and socialise.

When complete, Quartermile will incorporate seven acres of new green space. Along with the 40 semi-mature trees that have been planted within the Quartermile boundary, a number of Oak, Lime, Ash and Horse Chestnut trees can now be seen adjacent to Middle Meadow Walk.

Lorraine Paterson, Sales & Marketing Director for Gladedale Capital, commented: “This is an exciting stage for Quartermile as the landscaping gives everyone an idea of what the development will look like when completed.

“This is merely our first phase but already the development is coming together and is a desirable location to be.”

The luxury development is already home to more than 250 residents with over 180 sales to date. Quartermile One, the development’s flagship office building opened in October 2007, and three retail units including Peter’s Yard, Sainsbury’s and Starbucks are also now open.

The mixed use development has an exciting year ahead with the second office building Quartermile Two set for completion in November at the same time as the main public square, forming the heart of this vibrant new community.

With prices starting from £170,000 and a number of incentives available there has never been a better time to buy at Quartermile.
