Life’s a beach for buyers at The Potteries

Life’s a beach for buyers at The Potteries Award-winning Redrow has chosen the start of New Homes Week (September 12 – 20) to launch its new-look show home at The Potteries, in Prestonpans.

Whilst the New Homes Marketing Board throws the spotlight on all the advantages of owning a brand new home – including easy maintenance, energy efficiency, incentives to purchase and the reassurance of a 10-year warranty – Redrow is unveiling a stylish new three-bedroom ‘Lomond’ show home at the venture (September 12 / 13).

This recently revamped house style now has a spacious lounge with French doors to the back garden and a separate kitchen / breakfast area, which features Redrow’s latest specification, including floor to ceiling kitchen units and top brand-name appliances. The bathroom has also been remodelled with a sleek new pristine white suite.

To reflect its setting on the edge of the popular coastal town, Redrow’s professional team of interior designers have furnished and decorated the home with a contemporary “beach combers” theme, using a relaxing colour scheme of blues, whites and creams.

The show home has a classic ‘New England’ feel with a modern twist. The calming colour scheme is used throughout the home, with waves, lighthouses and driftwood a recurring theme. One bedroom has been decorated with a surfing mad teenager in mind, including a unique headboard specially created from a surfboard.

A sumptuous master bedroom and en-suite occupies the entire third floor; creating a quiet shore-like sanctuary away from the rest of the house.

Diana Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (Scotland) says: “Our interior designers had some real fun styling this home. Not only have they created a contemporary home that reflects its coastal location, they have done a fantastic job demonstrating the versatility of this three-storey house. With the addition of our new specification kitchens and bathrooms we’re sure to be surfing to success.”

The Potteries features a good choice of homes, from two-bedroom ‘Argal’ style apartments at just £120,995, up to £199,995 for the ‘Otter’ four-bedroom detached family home. A three-bedroom ‘Lomond’ similar to the show home is currently priced from £164,995.

Diana added: “We’re delighted to be launching our new-look Lomond show home at the start of New Homes Week, which is set to highlight the major benefits of new homes over their second-hand counterparts. Compared to an older home, new homes are more energy efficient, secure, and easier to maintain. There is no need for costly redecoration or renovation work as everything in a Redrow home is already done for you to an extremely high standard and with a superb specification.”

Incentives to make buying easier include the option to defer 25% of the initial cost of an Argal apartment for 10 years; or, for those with an existing property to sell, the opportunity to part-exchange on some houses.

Set on the outskirts of this popular coastal town, just 10 miles from Edinburgh, The Potteries is a perfect base for commuters. Prestonpans offers a range of local amenities, has excellent road connections and average house prices that compare favourably to the neighbouring towns of Port Seaton and Musselbrough. The local railway station offers regular services to Edinburgh Waverley in around 15 minutes.

Join Redrow for the opening of its professionally designed and decorated, fully furnished Lomond show home on Saturday 12th / Sunday 13th September; or log on to redrow.co.uk/developments/view/197 for more information.
