Ropemaker Park – First phase successfully let and occupied

Quadrant Estates and Helical Bar started on site in September 2006 following receipt of planning consent last summer. The first phase of Ropemaker Park, expected to complete in June this year will provide approximately 77,000 sq ft of new industrial and warehousing accommodation. Of those units sold include new premises for Marlow Ropes (UK) Ltd, who acquired the yachting division of Marlow Ropes from the Receiver in December 2005.
Additional occupiers for the first phase include Waverley TBS, who will be occupying a purpose built warehouse facility and expanding their business from smaller existing premises on Diplocks Way. Their new offices in Ropemaker Park will provide a regional facility to serve their Kent, Surrey and Sussex region. Between Marlow Ropes and Waverley TBS it is estimate that up to 100 jobs will be created on site.
Eight smaller starter industrial units have also been completed which have largely been sold to a variety of local occupiers. The second phase of industrial and warehousing units and the access to South Road is due for completion in November. This second phase will also include a Car Showroom, Convenience Store/Takeaway Unit and a Childrens Day Nursery.
