Work gets underway at Eastbourne redevelopment

9th July 2007 Print
Since Berkeley Homes announced that it had been granted planning permission for All Saints, its development of the historic All Saints Hospital site in the Meads Conservation Area of Eastbourne, the company’s sales team has been inundated with enquiries regarding the new and refurbished apartments.

When complete, All Saints will provide 53 beautifully restored apartments within the original Gothic style hospital buildings that will be complimented by a further 53 brand new apartments, in three separate buildings.

“We have received a high level of enquiries, even at this early stage of development, because the scheme offers an outstanding location, a choice of new or converted apartments and a superb landscaped setting that includes green open space, the original Mother Superior’s garden and a delightful wooded area,” comments David Campbell, Sales Director of Berkeley Homes Southern.

The demolition work on the site is almost complete and work has recently started on the construction of the new build apartments.

Berkeley Homes is also restoring a beautiful listed chapel, which dates back to 1874. With its remarkable domed roof, stained glass windows, decorative walls and elaborate tiled floor, the chapel will create a stunning landmark within the landscaped, central park area that will provide a tranquil area for the residents’ enjoyment.
