Barratt to build new homes close to Eastbourne sea front

Barratt has obtained detailed planning consent to create 82 new homes at Susan’s Road, Eastbourne, on a prime site within walking distance of the sea front.

In addition to 59 one and two-bedroom apartments, there will also be 19 properties for affordable housing. The majority of the homes will have an allocated parking space and all will benefit from a five minute walk of the sea front. The new development will be located on a 1.2 acre site, which was formerly used as a bus garage.

Gary Ennis, Barratt’s regional managing director comments: “Eastbourne has an enduring appeal for people of all ages. We anticipate that the variety of new homes that we are building at Susan’s Road prove very popular particularly with the lure of the sea front in such close proximity.”

Barratt will begin construction work in September and the build programme will be around one year.
