17th October 2007 Print
Sovereign Harbour - The Boardwalk The Boardwalk at Sovereign Harbour is continuing in its winning ways – once again being recognised with two prestigious property awards for its luxurious penthouses and idyllic waterside location.

The latest honours bring the total up to five for The Boardwalk, Redrow’s beautiful apartment scheme of 260 properties, all with attractive, modern design and breath taking sea views or harbour views. Boardwalk features one, two, and three-bedroom homes, including 18 penthouses.

Paul Moran, sales director for Redrow Homes (Southern) says: “It’s fantastic to have received these awards and it’s great to know that those in the know can see how great our apartments and location are. The Boardwalk has so much to offer – beautiful apartments, fantastic views and lots of local amenities – and it’s proving to be popular with a range of buyers including those buying holiday and retirement homes.

“We’ve sold over 80% of the homes at The Boardwalk now which is further testament to how popular the development if. If buyers think that this is the place for them I’d advise them to come down and take a look, before they’re all snapped up.”

These latest accolades were picked up at The Daily Mail Property Awards, where the development picked up four stars and the title of Best Apartment in Sussex for its penthouse offering and was one of the winners in the national Best Marina category, earning four stars.

One of the luxurious penthouses at the development recently won the accolade of Best Apartment at Evening Standard New Homes Awards. Previous honours included a ‘bronze’ award for best exterior design in the Daily Telegraph What House? awards and a ‘highly commended’ for its stunning architecture and interior design from national consumer magazine Your New Home in its annual awards.

The attraction of Sovereign Harbour is its combination of the traditional and the modern, mixing the charm of an old English seaside resort with trendy up-and-coming bars and restaurants, making it the ideal location for all ages.

Eastbourne town centre offers all the top high street stores and for those seeking a more cultured shopping experience, Eastbourne’s independent “Little Chelsea” area features more than 60 places to buy art, music, books and hand-crafted furniture.

The Boardwalk is just over 90 minutes from London Victoria on the train from Eastbourne and less than half an hour from Hastings via the easily-accessed A259, while Brighton is only 40 minutes away along the A27.

Prices at The Boardwalk start from just £209,000 for a one-bedroom apartment and from £199,000 for a two-bedroom apartment. The last luxurious three-bedroom penthouse has a £650,000 price tag.
