Enjoy the sun, sea and sand this summer

Enjoy the sun, sea and sand this summer Buyers wanting to enjoy the sun, sea and sand this summer should pay a visit to White Sand, a delightful new village style development by Ward Homes. In a wonderful location close to the beach in Camber, near Rye, White Sand has recently celebrated the release of its newly restyled marketing suite and show home.

Potential homebuyers braved the unseasonable weather over the launch weekend to view the three-bedroom show home, decorated in soft hues to echo the sea. In the smart new marketing suite, which also reflects a nautical theme, a large plasma screen displays the many attractions of White Sand and the area. To add to the holiday atmosphere, young visitors were treated to ice creams from a traditional ice cream vendor, while the adults enjoyed champagne and strawberries.

Ann Moriarty, sales and marketing director for Ward Homes, comments: "We hope our marketing suite and show home highlight the pleasures of living by the sea. White Sand is appealing to many different homebuyers: local people, those from further away who are seeking a holiday home and also investors, who have been swift to recognise the potential of these very attractive homes in an unspoilt area of the country."

Ward Homes is offering a wide selection of two, three and four bedroom houses at White Sand, all charmingly named after ducks, such as Teal and Mallard.

These picture-postcard homes are just minutes from Camber Sands, one of the finest sandy beaches in south east England, and close to the picturesque town of Rye. Many of the houses have stunning uninterrupted views across the open land of the adjacent nature reserve.

There are eight different styles of house from which to choose. These include two-bedroom cottages full of character; traditional three bedroom houses with a large open plan dining/kitchen space and separate lounge and a more unusual style of three-bedroom house set on three levels, with a large lounge and balcony on the second floor. Offering an enormous amount of flexible space is the superb four-bedroom Gladwell, with features such as a period porch that add great charm.

The quaint town of Rye, once a haunt of smugglers, is just a few miles from White Sand. Perched on a hill, Rye has cobbled streets, fascinating old buildings, great local shops and a weekly market. There are plenty of cafés, restaurants and historic inns, and the famous annual Arts Festival adds to the cosmopolitan atmosphere.

White Sand is perfectly placed for enjoying the outdoor life. As well as the two-mile stretch of unspoiled beach at Camber Sands, there is a myriad of footpaths and cycle routes at the nearby nature reserve to enjoy.

For travelling further afield, Rye station has a regular service to London Charing Cross taking about two hours. Ashford International is just 20 minutes by train from Rye, giving access to Eurostar services and the continent.

Prices at White Sand start from £195,000 for a two-bedroom cottage, ranging up to £360,000 for a very spacious four-bedroom house.
