Green light for Church View

Housebuilder Charles Church has been granted planning permission for its development plans at Tilstock Lane, Tilstock, a rural village just south of Whitchurch, where it will construct 29 homes.

To be known as Church View, because of its close proximity to Tilstock Christ Church, the development will consist of seventeen 4 and 5 bedroom detached houses and an apartment. In addition, eleven 2 bedroom houses are to be provided as affordable housing units, which will be handed over to a housing association for rent and sale to local people. The scheme will include an area of public open space, incorporating a new children’s play area. Charles Church is making arrangements for the long-term maintenance of this facility and will also contribute a further £10,000 towards outdoor sports provision elsewhere in the village.
