Help shape the future of housing
People from across North Shropshire have been invited to help shape the future of housing in the district.North Shropshire District Council is prompting its residents to give feedback on proposals set out in a draft housing strategy.
The Strategy outlines the steps that the Council will take to deal with important issues such as the supply of affordable housing, how to tackle homelessness and how to provide the right accommodation for vulnerable people.
The Council is now reminding residents to have their say by viewing the draft strategy online at northshropshiredc.gov.uk and giving feedback by the 31st August 2007
Councillor Keith Newby, North Shropshire District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Housing and the Natural Environment said:
“Providing housing that is appropriate to our residents’ needs is a key priority for North Shropshire District Council. The way that we provide housing for different groups will have a huge impact on the way our district develops and the way our communities our shaped in the future.
More jobs and homes for local people is a priority for the Council and it is important that we get it right. By reading and giving us their views on this draft strategy, local people will be helping us to deliver the homes that people need into the future.”
