Showhomes open in Champagne style at The Forge
George Wimpey Midland unveiled the very first showhomes at Ironstone in Lawley with a champagne reception for VIPs (Very Important Purchasers) at the weekend. The leading housebuilder staged the special event to celebrate the opening of the stylish new properties at The Forge, its sought-after development within the brand new village community in Shropshire.
On Friday 9th November house-hunters who had expressed an early interest in The Forge were given a sneak preview of the showhomes – the spacious four-bedroom ‘Brosely’ and the charming four-bedroom ‘Linley’ – each decorated and furnished by the leading housebuilder’s team of professional interior designers.
The sophisticated evening event saw guests treated as VIPS arriving in style in limousines, being greeted with a glass of champagne and music by a harpist, before being taken on a grand tour of the beautiful village setting.
On Saturday and Sunday 10th and 11th November the doors opened to the general public, giving visitors their first opportunity to see the showhomes – and reserve a stylish new property.
The showhomes are now open daily to visitors, from 11am until 5pm.
A wide range of homes are currently available at the development, including the three-bedroom ‘Arleston’ townhouse priced from £192,500, the four-bedroom ‘Beckbury’ townhouse starting from £210,000 and the superb five-bedroom ‘Edgmond’ from £295,995.
The Forge is part of Ironstone, a brand new sustainable village community at Lawley comprising four distinct neighbourhoods and offering a bustling social hub, classical architecture, open spaces and a host of local facilities.
The community has been carefully designed to integrate a range of new facilities, including a mixed-use village centre and a primary school, as well as a wide choice of affordable homes.
The Forge will be well-served by existing and new public transport links and commuters will appreciate that the M54 and M6 are a short drive from the development.
Telford – the largest town in Shropshire – lies less than three miles from the development and is home to a vast array of leisure opportunities, including a large shopping centre and the accompanying town park, a large cinema, bars, cafes, restaurants and a vibrant nightlife.
George Wimpey offers a range of deals tailor-made for all types of buyers, and for those with a property to sell, the leading housebuilder’s easymover programme offers a range of attractive incentives on selected properties.
