New homes in Shrewsbury are gr-eight!

26th August 2008 Print
New homes in Shrewsbury are gr-eight! Contrary to reports that the property market has come to a standstill, after a flurry of sales at the Heron's Reach in Shrewsbury, just eight homes now remain until Persimmon's development comes to a premature close.

Celebrating these final eight properties, Persimmon is offering purchasers a choice of moving offers including its highly successful Helping Hand shared equity scheme on all remaining homes and apartments.

With Helping Hand, purchasers pay for a percentage of the property yet they own it entirely. On apartments, buyers pay 75 per cent of the value of the property and on traditional homes it's an 85 per cent payment with the remaining percentage not payable for ten years or until your home is re-sold - whichever comes first. There is not even any interest to pay on the outstanding balance.

"We are delighted with the success of this development which continues to prove popular with house hunters in the region with sales clearly show that buyers remain confident in both the local market and the Persimmon product," commented Claire Jarvis, Persimmon's sales manager.

Herons Reach, located on Oswell Road, is on the border of England and Wales and is surrounded by the River Severn. Steeped in history, Shrewsbury is the birthplace of Charles Darwin and boasts Georgian architecture with a wealth of timber-framed buildings and steep narrow streets. Today it is a lively town with an abundance of restaurants, bars and nightlife, and plenty of retailers with independent shops, attractive indoor malls, and a market held four times a week.

For the more active, Shrewsbury has several large parks where purchasers can take in the views down the River Severn, where along its banks lies gardens, meadows and the beautiful 29 acre parkland known as the Quarry. Commuters are perfectly placed too, offering a great road network close to the M6, A5, M54, A49, A53 and A458 to nearby towns such as Telford, Stoke-on-Trent and Birmingham. With Helping Hand, apartments are currently priced from £109,497 and homes from £127,496.
