Discover two new ways to get moving

Discover two new ways to get moving Home-owners hoping to remove the hassle of selling their current property can now find an easier way to move by choosing a brand new home at George Wimpey’s Earls Meadow development in Wem.

The leading house-builder is helping its customers beat the slowdown in the market, by making new homes available in part-exchange for their existing property – or helping them to find a buyer and paying the estate agency fees.

Daniel McGowan, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for George Wimpey, explains: “So many people are struggling to sell their current home, but our part-exchange and Easymover schemes at Earls Meadow mean that people can choose a new home secure in the knowledge that their existing property won’t hold them back. Our schemes are a simple way to gain peace of mind and to move in as little as a fortnight.”

Using the part-exchange scheme, George Wimpey gains an independent valuation of the customer’s current property and simply arranges to buy their property from them.

Through Easymover, the house-builder obtains a valuation of the customer’s existing home and agrees a price, arranges the sale of the property through its appointed estate agents and picks up their bill – the complete process taking around four to six weeks.

Just one of the homes available using either of the schemes is the four-bedroom ‘Jesmond’, comprising superb living areas that are perfect for entertaining or spending family time together.

At the heart of this home is a large reception room with French doors to the rear garden and a wonderfully spacious kitchen/dining room, also with doors to the garden. The ground floor is completed by a second reception room which could alternatively be used as a study, and a cloakroom off the entrance hallway, while outside there is a double garage.

Upstairs, the landing leads to a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, three further bedrooms – two of which are ‘double’ rooms – and a main bathroom.

The ‘Jesmond’ is priced from £249,995 and available with an optional conservatory – an attractive addition to this L-shaped home design which provides even more space for entertaining, seamlessly linking the kitchen/dining room with the lounge.

The detached four-bedroom, three-bathroom ‘Kingville’ is also available, priced from £237,500, and all new homes at the development enjoy a high standard specification including central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with built-in oven, hob and hood.

Earls Meadow is a superb development of three and four-bedroom homes, ideal for young families searching for extra space for their growing family, those looking to move up the property ladder or for downsizers simply looking to locate to a more affordable new home in a friendly community.

Wem has shops catering for everyday needs, a primary and a secondary school with sixth-form, plus a railway station with services to Shrewsbury and Crewe. Additional shopping, sports and leisure facilities can be found at nearby Shrewsbury and Telford.
