From one bedroom to five in just one move

2nd September 2009 Print
From one bedroom to five in just one move Claire and Gary Dymond have jumped up the property ladder from a one bedroom flat in Birmingham to a five bedroom townhouse at Bryant Homes’ Lawley Farm development in Telford, thanks to the house builder’s new Deposit Match scheme.

Claire, who is pregnant with the couple’s first child, was keen to move back to Shropshire, where she grew up, and had spent a couple of years looking for a new home. When she and Gary went to see what was available at Lawley Farm they fell in love with the development and started saving for their deposit.

Claire, 29, said: “We saw the home we wanted to buy at Lawley Farm about six months ago and wanted to take advantage of the excellent prices, but didn’t have enough of a deposit. We were really keen to buy so we cut back on our spending and managed to get a 10% deposit together. Just as we were ready to make our move we discovered how few affordable mortgages there were. Luckily the team at Lawley Farm suggested using Bryant Homes’ excellent Deposit Match scheme, which enabled us to get the mortgage we wanted as the house builder matched the deposit we put down.

“We still can’t quite believe we have been able to afford to climb the property ladder so quickly and easily. In just one move we have gained four bedrooms – we thought it would take us years to get to this stage!”

The couple, who bought a five bedroom semi-detached townhouse, had viewed other new build developments in the area before they saw the homes at Lawley Farm, but none matched Bryant Homes’ offering.

Claire added: “The homes at Lawley Farm were far and away the best in terms of build quality and design. I loved the way the materials used to build the homes had been matched to older homes in the area – the architecture really blends into the surroundings and the homes are stylish inside and out. We’re thrilled we have such a beautiful home in a lovely community – just in time for when the baby’s born!”

Anne Wallace, regional sales and marketing director, said: “We’re delighted Claire and Gary have been able to buy their dream home using our Deposit Match scheme. Boosting deposits through an interest free loan is a great way to increase the number of mortgage deals available to purchasers and to reduce monthly repayments. In addition, we have a range of other incentives available to help buyers move into their perfect home, from stamp duty and legal fees paid to special furniture packages.”

Currently available at Lawley Farm is a contemporary collection of two, four and five bedroom homes with prices starting from £129,995. For families, the annual Shrewsbury street theatre festival provides real community entertainment while a good selection of nursery, infant and primary schools are all within two miles of the development.

Residents employed in Telford can be at work in around 10 minutes as Lawley Farm is only 2.5 miles away from the town centre. For those wishing to travel further afield Telford Train Station is in close proximity.

Weekends can be spent at one of the many museums in the area, browsing the host of high street shops including House of Fraser, Marks and Spencer and Debenhams in the Telford shopping centre, which is near to the development, or exploring the 180-acre Telford Town Park.

For further information about the properties and incentives currently available at Lawley Farm, visit the marketing suite daily from 10.00am until 5.00pm or log on to bryant.co.uk and enter the postcode TF4 2PG into the quick search box.
