The multi- million pound development - City Vizion – offers a selection of over 400 one and two bedroom apartments at Rodney Parade in Newport. It will stand in a prime position on the eastern bank of the River Usk, directly opposite the new Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre and close to the heart of the city, which is within easy walking distance of via the fantastic new footbridge.

Central to the development will be a stunning glass fronted design – fondly known as the oval – which will overlook the river and offer fantastic views over Newport and towards the Bristol Channel. The oval shaped design bears testimony to the site’s nearest neighbours, Newport Rugby Club.

George Wimpey was chosen to create this development following a competitive tendering process with the Welsh Assembly Government to develop the seven-acre site. It is regarded as one of the keystones in the overall regeneration of Newport city centre.

Since George Wimpey was named as preferred developer, the interest in the proposed development has rocketed.

Richard Goad is sales and marketing director of George Wimpey South Wales.

He said: “We have taken hundreds of enquiries about City Vizion. People love waterside living especially in Newport because of the massive regeneration which is underway. We are expecting most of the homes to sell off plan, so anyone who is keen to bag themselves their plot really should register their interest now to ensure they are invited to the launch day.”

Incorporated within City Vizion will be a number of high quality public areas and a few commercial spaces for cafes, restaurants and a small convenience store. Together with the 750 meter riverside walk way being built by George Wimpey, City Vizion is set to be the most stylish living quarters in Newport.

George Wimpey have also included a number of live work units for people who work from home. Richard said, ‘’ With the growing trend in more and more people working from home, George Wimpey have responded by introducing a number of work live units.’’
