Barratt celebrates new developments in Newport Barratt South Wales is celebrating the success of two of its developments in Newport with a Summertime Spectacular weekend.

Coed Celynen in Abercarn will be hosting a special event on Saturday 22nd August, and Pennar Heights in Newbridge will be holding an event on Sunday 23rd August; these will run from 11am to 4pm.

Both events promise fun for all the family, with a delicious BBQ and activities for children including face painting. Adrian Bird, sales director at Barratt South Wales, says: “We are thrilled with the success of Coed Celynen, now 90 per cent sold, and Pennar Heights, 60 per cent sold. These quality homes in two very desirable locations have met a real demand in the local market.

“We hope as many people as possible will come and celebrate with us during our Summertime Spectacular weekend and experience firsthand the wonderful community spirit that exists at both developments now most of the homes are occupied.”

Coed Celynen and Pennar Heights both offer a range of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes, with these designed to suit a variety of purchasers, from those wanting to buy their first home to families seeking a larger house. Barratt also has a choice of incentives to help with the move. Adrian adds: “With mortgage lending tighter than it has been for years, our broad range of incentives has made it easier for purchasers in the area to buy a new home.”

Proving popular with first time buyers is Barratt’s Head Start scheme. This allows them to move into a brand new home for only 85 per cent of the purchase price, while still owning a full 100 per cent of the property. No interest or rent is payable on the 15 per cent deferred, which is paid back as 15 per cent of the property’s open market value at any time up to the resale of the property or within ten years, whichever is sooner.

Existing homeowners can also benefit from some great deals at Coed Celynen and Pennar Heights; particularly good is Barratt’s part exchange scheme. Adrian explains: “We could buy your house so you don’t have to find a buyer; there are no chains to worry about, no HIPs to organise, no estate agent’s fees or last minute haggling over price. You can also stay in your old property until your new one is ready.”

In addition to some very competitive prices, Barratt will also pay the five per cent deposit or legal fees and will include all carpets in selected homes.

Prices for homes currently available at Coed Celynen are from £145,000 for a three-bedroom mid-terrace house and from £149,995 for a three-bedroom end of terrace house. Barratt will be releasing the final phase of two and three-bedroom homes towards the end of the year. The sales and marketing suite at Coed Celynen Drive, Abercarn, Newport, Gwent. NP11 5AU, is open Sunday – Wednesday and Friday 11am to 6pm, Thursday 1pm to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 5pm.

Prices of homes currently available at Pennar Heights are from £162,995 for a three-bedroom house and from £279,995 for a four-bedroom house. The sales and marketing suite at Pennar Heights, New Bryngwyn Road, Newbridge, Newport, Gwent, NP11 4NF is open Sunday – Wednesday and Friday 11am to 6pm, Thursday 1pm to 8pm, and Saturday 10am to 5pm.
