A champagne launch at Foxgloves in Newport

14th September 2009 Print
A champagne launch at Foxgloves in Newport Foxgloves, an exciting new development by David Wilson Homes Eastern on Bury Water Lane in the village of Newport, near Saffron Walden in Essex, is launching this weekend, Saturday 19th September.

Prospective purchasers are encouraged to go along to view the stunning showhome and enjoy a glass of champagne.

It is unusual for gems like this small, exclusive development to come onto the property market and this has been proven by the success of Foxgloves so far. Over 25 per cent of the development has already been sold prior to its launch – so homebuyers are urged to hurry before the remaining properties are all snapped up.

As an added incentive, David Wilson Homes has exclusively offered to pay the stamp duty for any purchasers who reserve over the launch weekend.

When complete, Foxgloves will comprise a stylish collection of just 14 traditionally styled family homes in a location close to the beautiful North Essex countryside.

Rebecca Littler, Sales and Marketing Director for David Wilson Eastern, comments: “We are very excited about Foxgloves, which has been designed to reflect Newport’s long history and heritage. We have taken great care to design these homes in a style that blends into the area and enhances the village.

“There will be a wide variety of house styles to give buyers as much choice as possible. I would urge anyone who is interested in the new homes at Foxgloves to visit our new showhome this weekend in order to take advantage of our fantastic stamp duty paid offer.”

The range of homes available includes three, four and five-bedroom homes to suit all sizes of family. David Wilson Homes has a strong reputation for building homes that combine quality, style and a clever use of space. All of the homes at Foxgloves incorporate environmentally-beneficial initiatives including solar panels, aerated taps and water butts.

Many of the houses have a separate living room, dining room and kitchen, with the addition of a study in the larger homes. French doors from either the living area or dining room open out on to the rear garden, making outdoor entertaining easy. All benefit from en suite bathrooms to the master bedrooms in addition to the main family bathroom.

All the houses include convenient extras such as fitted wardrobes in the master bedroom and high quality kitchen appliances. Every house has a landscaped front garden and turfed rear garden, and a garage or allocated parking space – and some even have garden sheds!

Newport is an established village community with a population of just 2,000. It benefits from all the local amenities residents could need, including a selection of good local pubs, a post office and a village shop.

Despite its rural tranquillity, Foxgloves is within walking distance of Newport station, which has frequent services to Cambridge and Stansted Airport in less than 30 minutes and London Liverpool Street in around an hour.

There is a good range of primary and secondary schools in the area, including the popular Newport Free Grammar School, which is also within very easy walking distance of Foxgloves. Tracing its roots back to the late sixteenth century, the school is today fully comprehensive and co-educational. It is well known for its former pupil, celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, whose father runs the award-winning country inn, The Cricketers, in the nearby village of Clavering.

Prices at the development will start at £219,950 for a two-bedroom home. For further information, visit the Foxgloves marketing suite, open Friday to Sunday 10am to 6 pm, in Newport, Saffron Walden, CB11 3TZ. Prices start from £339,950 for a three-bedroom house, £434,950 for a four-bedroom house and £574,950 for a five-bedroom house. Alternatively, visit the website at dwh.co.uk.
