Paula makes Yorkshire proud

The innovative scheme has been introduced to ensure Miller Homes' staff stand out from the crowd. With outstanding customer service at the heart of the business, it's no surprise that Miller Homes has made this a crucial part of its new training scheme too.
Karen Dent, one of the driving forces behind the programme explains: "We've made this programme as comprehensive and rigorous as possible. Buying a new home is one of the most stressful experiences anyone has to go through, so it's incredibly important that the person who helps you through that process is highly trained, knowledgeable and sensitive to your needs.
"Our sales negotiators also go through this training process as part of their induction. It's a real benefit not just to customers but the employees themselves."
Paula, sales consultant at the eco-friendly development Millennium Village in Allerton Bywater, said: "Taking part in the course has been really enjoyable and I've learned some valuable new skills which I'm now putting into practice at work. I think it's great that Miller is providing staff with such a detailed training scheme - whether you've been in the job for five minutes or five years, there's always room for improvement."
Karen continued: "Phase two is now being rolled out and will enable staff to develop their skills even further. Our training programme is soon to be linked with an NVQ Level 3 making it recognised as a professional qualification."
Miller Homes has also launched a similar scheme for its sales managers.
