Miller Homes stirred by 007 ball A young team of Miller Homes’ employees is embarking on a mammoth task to raise £20,000 for charity. The team, part of the Prince’s Trust Enterprise Project, has been set this enormous challenge to turn a capital investment of just £3,000 into a ‘profit’ of £20,000.

Ross Clarkson, field sales manager for Miller Homes Yorkshire and team member said: “This is a huge challenge, but one that I think we can live up to. The team has had quite a few new and exciting challenges since joining Miller Homes so I think we have built enough confidence to hit the ground running on this one.

“We are really pleased that we are able to organise this and will be so proud to be able to raise a huge amount of money which will help young adults across the Yorkshire region.”

The team also includes, Neil Dawkin, assistant land buyer, Luke Gidney, assistant site manager, Amanda Fletcher, technical secretary and Gurpreet Bansal, technical co-ordinator. For their project the group have decided to hold a lavish 007 espionage ball for the housebuilding industry. Intrigue and glamour is theme with the men dressed in black tie and ladies in their finest gowns.

The event to be held on 11th October at the Elland Road Conference and Exhibition Centre, Leeds, is sure to leave guests shaken and stirred by the host of 007 themed activities. Guests will be met by a vodka martini cocktail reception, enjoy a four course gala dinner, with live comedy performances, fire breathers and stilt walkers, musicians and an auction that even M would be interested in. Auction lots include, a four star, four night break to Miami donated by Virgin Holidays and an Aston Martin Experience.

The team have already sold almost half of the tables and secured joint sponsorship for the event from the Encia Group and Sirius Group. The cocktail reception is to be sponsored by Wragge and Co and the wine by Delor Developments. Although the team are calling on all the other fun-loving members of the industry to come along and support a good cause while at the same time having a fabulous night.
