Yorkshire site manager receives house building oscar
Laurence McLaughlin, site manager for Miller’s new Fairfield Manor development in Wakefield has won the esteemed Seal of Excellence Award as part of the NHBC’s Pride in the Job Campaign. Laurence, who recently received his Quality Award at a luncheon held in York, was also delighted to hear his name announced for the NHBC Seal of Excellence Award. This means Laurence has now been awarded a place in the UK’s top 100 site managers, for building the very best quality new homes and managing their site to an exceptional standard.
Laurence commented: “I was really proud to receive the Quality Award but to hear my name as a Seal of Excellence Award winner was fantastic. It is a real testament to the team at Fairfield Manor and I am proud to receive this award on their behalf too.”
Geoff Egginton, NHBC’s Regional Director for the North East said: “Pride in the Job is the highest accolade a site manager can achieve. The site managers who have made it this far in the competition have shown extraordinary dedication in their roles, ensuring each aspect of the build process is executed with precision and thought. Laurence has been with Miller Homes for only two years since the take over of Fairclough Homes, and has now been awarded two Quality and one Seal of Excellence Awards.
