Apartment living at Eden

A health promoter from Leeds has found her dream home at Eden, George Wimpey West Yorkshire’s development in Leeds New Forest Village. Carrie Fennell, who is 36 and works for Wakefield District PCT in Castleford, is delighted to have moved in to her stylish new two bedroom Seville apartment at Eden.

She says: “I was looking for a home of my own in a good location that wouldn’t stretch me too much financially and would also be convenient for getting to work.

“I viewed some old terraced houses in the area, but the ones that I could afford needed lots of work and I was worried they would become a money pit, so I decided to change tack and look for somewhere that would be easy to maintain on my own.”

Carrie first heard about the new apartments available at Eden on the radio. She says: “I hadn’t actually considered buying a new build property because I didn’t think I would be able to get much for my money but, when I heard about the prices of the apartments, I went along to have a look and couldn’t believe how spacious they were.”

The Seville apartment that Carrie chose is on the second floor and comprises two good-sized bedrooms, a bathroom and an open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen with a balcony. It came complete with carpets, fridge-freezer, double oven, hob and extractor fan, as well as a dishwasher and a washer dryer, so it was completely ready to move into.

She says: “I love living here. It’s great to have a brand new place that I can make my own, and I already feel very at home at Eden. Other people have also recently moved in, and it has a very friendly and secure neighbourhood feel.”

The location of Eden is also very convenient for Carrie, as it is an easy drive into Castleford, and if she doesn’t want to drive, there is a bus stop around the corner. Each apartment resident has an allocated parking space and there are plenty of additional spaces for visitors.

She says: “It’s a nice place to live. Rothwell has some good places for eating and drinking and, if I want to hit the shops, it’s easy to get in to Leeds. There is a gym nearby and the cinema and ski centre are only a short drive away.”

Carrie has been very impressed with the customer service she has received from the sales executives and the site manager at Eden. She says: “They’re always very amenable; whenever I’ve wanted some help they’ve dealt with it straight away.”
