Persimmon braced for Bradford success

Persimmon braced for Bradford success Only a couple of weeks into the New Year and 2008 already looks like it’s going to be a successful year for Leeds-based Persimmon Homes. The UK’s most successful housebuilder is due to unveil a brand new scheme in Wilsden, Bradford at the end of January and judging by the number of sales enquiries that have been received, it’s sure to become one of the company’s best-selling developments.

Millside in aspirational Wilsden, the site of the former Birkshead Mill at Shay Lane, will comprise just 41 two, three and four bedroom homes including a range of apartments, townhouses and detached properties. All homes at the development (subject to stage of construction) can be personalised via Persimmon’s Finishing Touches whereby purchasers can choose items from a comprehensive range to add their very own touch of individuality. Prices are to be announced.

Sue Merritt, sales director for Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire, said: “Surrounded by stunning countryside, with modern day conveniences within easy reach, Millside is sure to come as a welcome addition to local house hunters who demand high quality from a brand new home.”

Wilsden is a beautiful rural village close to the Aire Valley and the historic village of Haworth, home of the Bronte sisters and is less than two miles from Harden where the beautiful waterfalls in Goit Stock woods can be found.

In contrast however, Millside is the perfect haven for commuters and is conveniently situated just five miles West of Bradford and Keighley, just over 20 miles to Leeds and around eight miles from Leeds/Bradford International Airport. The nearest train station in Bingley is around two miles away and the development is situated between the A650 and the A629.
