Chris and Joan Butler found the perfect location for taking relaxing walks along the Shipley canal, within the picturesque Aire Valley, and stumbled upon the perfect location for their dream home. The couple, originally from Saltaire, fell in love with Amber Wharf when they came across the new Gladedale Yorkshire development late last summer.

Joan, a receptionist at the National Media Museum, and Chris, a local doctor, were not looking to move but immediately knew they wanted to live at the picturesque development in the waterside location. They moved into their new home just before Christmas 2007 and haven't looked back.

Chris and Joan regularly travel to Leeds so the great rail links were a further attraction to the couple. As they both work in the city, they can enjoy the countryside environment while still being able to commute easily.
