Quality still the key to property sales

22nd August 2008 Print
Discerning homebuyers throughout Yorkshire and beyond are clearly taking scant notice of the national media's determination to talk us into a recession. How else could the Fine & Country division of Manning Stainton in Moortown explain close to record sales levels across July and August - particularly within the executive property belt between North Leeds and Wetherby.

Fine & Country Director Andrew Butler says this area is one of the most exclusive and expensive spots in Yorkshire and demand continues to be high, with multiple bids not uncommon on properties for sale there:-

"No one can deny there has been an economic downturn in the UK but we've been saying time and time again that Leeds is not the UK!

Manning Stainton and Fine & Country is registering up to 500 people A MONTH looking to relocate to Leeds. The local economy is holding up well and a number of our Fine & Country sales have been to relocating executives taking up senior positions here in the City's diverse commercial world".

Essential ingredients for a property sale, however, remain the tried and trusted ones of Quality, Location and a Realistic Price according to Andrew:

"Whilst we are not always achieving the prices seen at the start of 2007, for example, we are certainly seeing continued demand from buyers with either cash or high deposits who are clearly not being affected by the ‘Credit Crunch'".
