Shepherd Homes offers HomeBuy Direct deals Shepherd Homes is helping homebuyers onto the property ladder after successfully bidding for HomeBuy Direct funding at its popular Valley View development in East Ardsley, near Wakefield.

Specific properties at Valley View have been chosen to be part of the scheme, in which the Government and developers offer a jointly financed, interest free equity loan of up to 30% of the purchase price of selected new homes. This removes the need for the minimum 10% deposit and so takes away one of the major obstacles preventing many people from purchasing a home.

The four-bedroom Mayfair townhouse is one of the house types at Valley View available under HomeBuy Direct. Priced from £177,995, the Mayfair is just £125,996 using the scheme.

The stunning Mayfair offers generous living space that includes a spacious hallway, separate dining room and substantial kitchen with breakfast area and double doors leading out to the garden. To the first floor is a sizable living room, large master bedroom with en-suite and a landing, whilst the second floor comprises a further three bedrooms and house bathroom.

HomeBuy Direct is a bid to give a helping hand to buyers who are struggling to buy a property and so give a much-needed boost to the market. With interest rates at an all time low, the scheme could even make buying a cheaper option than renting.

David Smith, sales & marketing director at Shepherd Homes, said: “We have already seen an influx of first time buyers at many of our developments in the last couple of months. This has been a direct result of our recent price cuts, combined with our transparent, no-nonsense approach to pricing. Our successful bid to be a part of HomeBuy Direct means that we can now go even further to help people buy their dream home.

“We have received a lot of interest from first time buyers, people returning to the property market on their own and also from parents, who are keen to help their children invest in their first home. However, the properties eligible for funding are limited so I would urge potential homebuyers to come along to the developments to see the quality of homes available and seize this opportunity while they can.”

Valley View’s semi-rural setting is the perfect location for anyone looking to combine the best of both rural and urban living is ideally positioned for commuters, being just a short drive away from the M62 (Junction 28) or the M1 (Junction 41), which connect to all major motorway links allowing easy access to towns and cities across the UK.

David concluded: “All Shepherd Homes properties are fitted and finished to outstanding specification, providing astute buyers with a beautiful home that is also a high quality investment.”
